The Big Dipper and The Little Dipper are popular names in North America for the seven prominent stars in the constellations Ursa Major and Ursa Minor (the Great Bear and the Little Bear) respectively. Helen rendered them here with bears on the handles to reflect the names of the constellations they are a part of.
